Our Story
In the summer of 2013, Davyn went on a volunteer mission trip to a rural village in East Nusa Tenggara, where he witnessed villagers living in extreme poverty, with no electricity and running water. Despite their financial situation, the kids in the village had noble dreams – dreams that were mere fantasies if their farmer parents could not afford their education. It was then and there that the seed of Davyn’s passion to financially empower Indonesian farmers was sown.
Throughout mid 2016, Davyn went out to socialise with farmers in four provinces, and came up with a potential solution to their problem: bypassing the supply chain and all the middlemen in between, providing better prices for both farmers and consumers alike. In October 2016, eTani was born. Since then, eTani has expanded into a network of thousands of farmers, with their produce being sold at thousands of stores as well as to hundreds of individual customers.
